Fauna

Many species are native of this area. Along the rows we can often meet hares, pheasants, green woodpeckers and also badgers, deer and wild boars are present in this territory. During the summer season migratory birds such as the bee-eaters arrive from Africa. The bee-eater is similar to a colored swallow, it is  sleek, graceful, melodious and sociable and it digs burrows for nesting sites in the vineyards.

In addition you can hear the starling sing and see the hoopoe with its distinctive patterned plumage, a fanlike crest and a slender downward curving bill.

The hoopoe seems to come from ancient times with its crown and colored plumage and with its flickering flight soars over our vineyard looking for food
